photo assignment 1 best photo

My best photo came when i least expected it. I was trying to get a close up of my dog and he lowered his head as i took the picture. That took his nose out of the picture but also moved the focus point to his eyes. The picture shows his personality very well. He is very curious and playful but also clam and i think the photo captures that very well.
Technical info
shutter speed: 1/60th
iso: 400
aperture: fstop 14

  1. This picture is a great example of the balance of aperture, shutter speed and ISO. I love how the eyes of the dog are the focus of the picture, but a green background can still be seen. By not getting a full face shot, the picture is more unique and made me look at it longer. I am drawn to look at the eyes of the dog, and because the picture is not too bright or too dark, it is pleasing to look at. The only thing I would have done differently is to sharpen the picture on the right side because the dog's ear looks somewhat blurry.

  2. I really liked this picture, I like how the focus of the picture are the dogs eyes and shows how you know to use aperture and shutter speed. I also like the color of this picture, so it made it very pleasing to look at.

  3. PUPPY! Ok, well DOG, but still. A fantastic shot. You really captured the essence of the dog, but I would have included more of the snout, it seems suddenly cut off - not cohesive. Great job, and we need another photo expedition soon!

  4. I really like this picture. I love how the eyes are the focus and how the background is blurred. The colors of this picture are great as well. The way you captured the picture made me look at it longer, and take a closer look.
