For my final photo assignment, I decided to do light and shadows. A few of my pictures are a little grainy or over exposed but other than that I'm fairly happy with my photos. Technical info iso-100 apreture-5.0 shutter speed-1/13 seconds
For my next photo assignment, I decided to do an open assignment on landscape. I found some pictures online that inspired me. I really like taking pictures using the light and shadows created by sunrises and sunsets and this picture caught my eye. Golf courses, in my opinion, are the best place to take landscape pictures. This is a picture form my favorite golf course, Rustic Glen. My last inspirational picture is of the most famous holes in golf. The 17th at TPC Sawgrass. I hope I can get a few pictures that are even close to these.
For my best photo I took a picture of a whicker basket in my basement that shows great texture and pattern. Technical info: iso-800 shutter speed-1/3 seconds aperature-4.5
For this assignment I tried to capture texture of objects in my house. I had very limited time this weekend and forgot how dark my house is. My photos are all grainy and fuzzy because of it.
For this assignment I took a picture of the water tower near the school. I used gimp to add a bunch of animals and pictures into the photo. I really enjoyed this assignment because it was the first assignment I found difficult.
For this assignment, I tried to light paint. I found it pretty hard to be creative and it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do. I really like how my pictures turned out.
For my best photo, I had Justin help me by drawing a stick person to look like I'm shaking hands with it.
Technical Info iso-100 shutter speed-20 seconds aperture-5.0
For this assignment, I took 5 photos and pasted them together in Gimp to make them look like one image. I found this assignment fairly easy because I had already done something like this in Graphics last year.
For this assignment, I decided to take pictures of my pool table in my basement. The lighting was pretty bad and I had to compensate for that but overall I'm pretty happy with the photos.
Technical info Shutter Speed-1 second Aperture-4.5 iso-100
For this assignment, we took a photo of a car and edited it to make it look better using tools commonly used in gimp. This assignment was not very challenging for me because i had graphics last year and already had some photoshop experience.
For this photo assignment, i tried to capture stop motion and motion blurring. For the stop motion, I was able to shoot at 1/4000 seconds because it was so sunny. I had a problem with that as well. It was to bright to take good motion blur pictures so i had to improvise a little bit.
For this assignment, we took an image and created a pop art effect in gimp with it. We were supposed to make 4 copies of the image and turn them to black and white. After that we were supposed to color the four images red, blue, green, and yellow.
For my second photo assignment, I decided to do nature. My family and I went to an apple orchard and i got a lot of pictures there. I also got a few pictures at Curtiss Park. Due to lack of time, I wasn't able to edit my photos and I'm not overly happy with my them.
For my best photo, I took a picture of a group of apples and tried to turn the background black and white but photo shop missed a few colors in the background.
My best photo came when i least expected it. I was trying to get a close up of my dog and he lowered his head as i took the picture. That took his nose out of the picture but also moved the focus point to his eyes. The picture shows his personality very well. He is very curious and playful but also clam and i think the photo captures that very well. Technical info shutter speed: 1/60th iso: 400 aperture: fstop 14
For this assignment I focused on getting some good pictures of my pets. My dog is the cutest dog in the world and very photogenic so he was easy. My snakes, on the other hand, would not stop moving and kept going into dark corners so it was very dificult to get good pictures of them.
For the first photo assignment, i hope to get some great photos of my dog and my 3 snakes. My dog is usually lazy but has moment of playfulness and i hope to capture both of those moods. My snakes are all laid back and don't really care what is going on. I found a few good photos I will use for inspiration. The first one is of a dog named Reggie sitting in front of a mountain range. The next is a photo is of a ball python curled around a log. The last is of a German Shepard and a cat rubbing his head against the dogs nose. I'm hoping to get a few photos similar to these.
For photo composition 2, we learned 5 new elements of photography. We were supposed to display color, space, perspective, framing, and balance. I had my dog pose to show framing and perspective. For color i used a green screen and a dark stage light. For space I saw an interesting wood figure against a plain background and used that. For balance Becky stood infront of a mirror and i took a picture of her and the mirror. In this assignment i learned how the five new elements of photography can make or break your picture. It is very important to find a medium for color and space in most pictures, or the picture will become to boring or the background will be to distracting.
In this assignment we we're supposed to take pictures using the six elements of photography, pattern, symmetry, texture, depth of field, lines, and rule of thirds. For my first photo i had my dog, Leo sit on my driveway while i took a picture of him using rule of thirds. For my second picture i went in front of the school and saw that the bus loop was symmetrical. My third photo was simply a picture of a chain link fence. My texture photo is a close up and zoomed in picture of the turf on our football field. My lines photo is a slow shutter speed picture of a car going by with its lights on. My final picture is a crab apple tree by the entrance to the office with a aperture of 5.6. I learned how to take better pictures using the rules of photography and when to use them. I also learned how they can, of not used correctly, ruin my pictures.
